03.06.2009 | Hawley Medal for guest scientist
Alan J. Anderson (St. Francis Xavier University), Richard Wirth and Rainer Thomas (both section 3.3) recieved the Hawley Medal fort he best paper published in The Canadian Mineralogist in 2008.

Scientific workshop between Taiwan and Germany
Kamil Ustaszewski and Onno Oncken (section 3.1) are organizing a bilateral scientific workshop between Taiwan and Germany in Taipei in November 2009. The goal of this workshop is to congregate geoscientists from the two countries and to establish new contacts.
