Network-EOS

The Helmholtz research fields “ Earth and Environment ” and " Transport and Space " have been networked in terms of their earth observation activities in the research network “Integrated Earth Observation System” (Netzwerk-EOS) . This brings together different forms of expertise and allows joint use of infrastructure and data, initially in the following research topics: Ice and Ocean, Disaster Management and Processes of the Land Surface.

Natural Disasters Network Platform:
Aims:

• Coordination of the Helmholtz centres in the event of a disaster
• Coordination of expertise and research work in the field of disaster management
• Provision of crisis-relevant, scientific information for ministries, agencies, aid organisations, press

Definition and development of interfaces to external information services
