The focus lies on monographs and maps to periglacial research and research on permafrost of Sibiria, and to phyics and chemistry of the atmosphere. It includes archival material on GDR's Antarctic research until 1989. Helpdesk for AWI researchers.
The stock includes 5.500 volumes and about 200 maps.
