About the person

Function and Responsibilities:

Ph.D.-Student on the topic "Solid matter budget of a steep mountain stream" since November 2013.

The study will focus on the Erlenbach, a scientific observatory in the Swiss pre-Alps, which in terms of sediment transport is one of best studied catchments in the world. The aim of the project is to obtain a deeper insight into channel-hillslope coupling and solid matter transfer in steep mountain streams. This will have further implications for stream morphology and dynamics, sediment yields and routing of solid matter through the stream system.

Since November 2013: Ph.D.-Student GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciencesat

Oktober 2010 to Oktober 2013: Stud. assistent and freelancer at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research with Dr. Katja Frieler and Dr. Malte Meinshausen in the PRIMAP group. Dipl. Thesis at Potsdam University with Dr. Stefan Rahmstorf and Dr. Malte Meinshausen: "Linking emission futures to regional climate implications -- The climate impact on coral reefs". Also: main developer of liveMAGICC and livePRIMAP.
